<p>The native Dero asset is an incredibly powerful and versatile tool, and we are just scratching the surface of what can be done with it. Dero Web is here to unlock some more of that power and level up this ecosystem big time.</p>
<h3>Here's What's Cooking</h3>
<p>The era of ".dero" domains is approaching. I am building an extension that will connect your browser to the Dero Web. Ownership and control of .dero domain names will be secured through native Dero assets, ensuring true ownership and privacy without any recurring fees. These assets can be owned either by individuals or by OAOs. This will be a significant upgrade for the Dero dAPP ecosystem. The protocol is designed to integrate seamlessly not only with browsers but also with dReams modular imports, and any wallet looking to include a Dero dAPP store.</p>
<h3>Tokenomics Update</h3>
<p>Supporters split a 50k $DNS pot according to how much dero they invest. 1 $DNS token allows you to register 1 ".dero" domain name. If we raise 10k DERO, supporters receive 1 $DNS per 0.2 DERO invested. You get to choose the names you register, though you will be racing against your fellow $DNS holders. </p>
<p>After the first two months, domain name registration will open up to anyone for a 20 Dero fee.</p>
<h3>Web of Trust</h3>
<p>I'm also expanding Social Coconut Score into something much bigger and better. A cross-dAPP web of trust. I envision privately held tokens used as pseudonyms which accrue reputation across time and context. DNS is actually just one part of this larger vision. I am building a suite of tools to make it easy for developers to integrate this identity and reputation system into all Dero dApps. </p>
<h3>My Promise to Funders</h3>
<p>I hope you can tell by now how committed I am to this community. This project will tie in everything I have worked on thus far: Private Islands, Dero Dev 101, DerBNB, OAO Governance. My biggest weakness is front-end and luckily this project has very little front-end involved. I have also learned a lot lately about collaboration and delegation. If this fundraiser is successful, I can guarantee domain name registration will be ready by the end of this year. The browser extension will be working before February and you will be able to visit this very website at privateislands.dero </p>
